James Watt

 
James Watt was born on 19 January 1736 year in Greenock and died on 25 August 1819. year in Heathfield, was Scottish inventor and mechanical engineer. While working as an instrument maker at the University of Glasgow, Watt became interested in the technology of steam engines. Watt introduced a design enhancement, the separate condenser, which avoided this waste of energy and radically improved the power, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of steam engines. Watt connected with Matthew Boulton and together in 1774. open a factory, "Boulton & Watt," and went into the production of steam engines. 1776th Watt's first steam engine was built and used in commercial purposes. 1780. year Watt was able to make a copy machine draft.

Amerigo Vespucci

Amerigo Vespucci was born on 9 March 1454 in Florence, Italy

He died on February 22, 1512 in Seville, Spain, of an unknown cause

 

he was an Italian explorer, financier, navigator and cartographer

 

his cousins was Simonetta Vespucci

 

Amerigo Vespucci is important because he was one of the early explorers of the New World, and also because the continents of North and South America were named in his honor. (He was also known by the name of Americus Vespucci.)

Christopher Columbus- Sara

Columbus was born on 31 October 1451 in Genoa, part of modern Italy.

He was an Italian explorer who sailed across the Atlantic Ocean in 1492, hoping to find a route to India.

He made a total of four trips to the Caribbean and South America during the years 1492-1504.

Columbus first went to sea as a teenager.

Columbus did not 'discover' America. There were many people already living there.

Ivana Kranitz- travel addict

Ivana is from Zagreb and she is studying philosophy and religious sciences. She gained her work experience as a volunteer in St. Anthony's orphanage, founded by a Croatian organization called "Kolajna ljubavi" in Songea, Tanzania; head of Croatian Travel Club's Zagreb Branch. She speak’s English and Swahili. Her hobby is photography and some of her photos were sold to raise money in Croatian Travel Club's campaign "Involve me and I'll understand“.

Hi!!

We are a group of students from ŽTŠ Moravice. Our english teacher is Dora Bozanić. Now we learn about travel addicts and we need to ask you about your travelling.

1.How many countries have you visited?

I have visited 29 countries!

2. What was your longest trip?
My longest trip lasted 3,5 months.

3. What can you tell me about the cost of your trips?

The costs depends where you travel. But I always try to travel low budget, like most of backpackers :)

4. Do you miss your family while you are on trips?

You have to many things to do and see on your trip, so you don't have the time to think about missing your family!

5. What was the best thing that happened on your travels?
The best things are always the people you meet on your way, and the impression they have on you, and how they teach you to respect differences and learn about other cultures

6. What was the worst thing that happened on your travels?
I feel my self very lucky that not even one bad thing happened to me on my travels. Maybe just the annoying fact that in China almost no one speaks English, so it is a bit hard to travel around.

7. Which is the most interesting food you have eaten in other countries?

In Australia I eat a kangaroo meat! And in Thailand I eat scorpions, grasshoppers and worms!
8. What is the craziest means of transport you used?
The most craziest mean of transport would have to be on a back of an elephant, traveling through jungles of Nepal.
9. Did you ever meet someone famous?
I didn't meet no one famous!

10. Where will you go next?
In the beginning of February I am going back to Africa, Tanzania and this time a plan to stay for 9 months!

 One summer's evening, a buglar broke into a house.

The house was very pretty and in it werw a lot of expensive things.
In the house slept one man who drank a lot and he didn't hear the burglar.
 First, burglar came in the kitchen where there was a lot of delicius food.

He sat on chair and started eating.
Then he saw a bottle of vine and he drank that. 

At the moment burglar heard smome strange noises and he was a litlle scared. 

He started to put things in his bag, but a bag was too litlle.
Burglar tought that the same bigger bag must be in this house. 

He came in room where was the man who slept.
 When a burglar saw the man, he give up stealing because the man who was sleeping was old and lonely.
The burglar gave back all things from his bag and went home, and he is decided that he will never steal anything.
